LANDSCAPE ADVISORY GROUP
BUILDING
FRONT AREA IMPROVEMENT ($2,000 Project): The Landscape Advisory Group (LAG)
approved the amended plan for La Playa at its November 16th meeting. A review at this meeting of the status of work at
the remaining nine buildings revealed that, with a couple of minor exceptions, all of the
planned and approved work has already been completed.
LA
PERLA / BEACH CLUB WALKWAY PROJECT: Gradual changes are being implemented to
minimize the existing landscape hodgepodge in this area.
This is being accomplished mainly by repositioning certain plants and removing
others to the nursery behind Las Flores for later use elsewhere. The aim of this work is to produce a cleaner look
by limiting the number of plant species appearing at any one location.
ENTRYWAY
TO THE CENTRAL COMPLEX: A sub-group
is being organized to examine the island and surrounding area at the entryway to the
central complex between La Perla and Las Flores. As
with the other projects that have been or are being addressed by the LAG, the aim of this
activity will be to eliminate hodgepodge and facilitate maintenance.
WATER
USAGE FOR LANDSCAPING: Studies of
water usage at Coronado Shores (excluding individual buildings) have revealed that the
highest demand for water is attributable to landscaping irrigation. The LAG and the Conservation sub-committee of
L&R continue to discuss this issue at their meetings.
It is being taken into consideration in the various landscaping improvements
that have been or are being undertaken here at Coronado Shores.

discussion of various topics that were raised in the Survey.
