The Coronado Shores Beach Club operates under the authority of the L&R Committee. To facilitate this function, the Chair of the L&R Committee is authorized to appoint a Beach Club Subcommittee Chairperson. Preferably this appointment shall be made from the membership of the L&R Committee; however, this appointment may be made from outside the committee when no member of the L&R Committee will serve, but in any case must be a homeowner who shall report to the L&R Committee at each regular meeting. In the case that a personal report cannot be made, the report shall be made through the L&R Committee Chairperson.

The Beach Club Subcommittee shall consist of the Chair, and nine other members; one member representing each of the ten Associations in the Coronado Shores complex. Members and Alternates, shall be selected by the cognizant Boards of Directors from among their homeowners for a two year term. Extension of this two year period shall be by mutual agreement of the relevant Board, the Beach Club Chairperson and the L&R Committee. The Subcommittee Members present shall elect a Chair Pro Tem in the absence of the Chair.

The duties of this Beach Club Subcommittee will be to assist the Chairperson in formulating policy for the approval of the L&R Committee; directing social event scheduling; working with staff to publish a Monthly Activities Calendar; encouraging participation by authorized patrons and such other tasks as may be assigned by the Chair. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the Beach Club operates as a pleasant, orderly non-exclusive facility for the benefit of all residents of Coronado Shores as specified in the Supplemental CC&Rs under L&R Committee Section 5.2: Members Easements of Enjoyment. All matters referred to the L&R Committee will first have a recorded affirmative vote in the Beach Club Minutes.
